Foolproof Theatre in Schools
Our schools performances promote a positive ethos and encourage shared values across the school community in an entertaining and engaging way.
Through performances, assemblies, classwork and workshops we provide cross-curricular learning in, through and about Religious and Moral Education; Expressive Arts; Health and Wellbeing and Literacy. Our productions are written to work within the Curriculum for Excellence.
We often work in partnership with local churches and organisations as part of a wider team. All staff and volunteers who work with young people are members of the PVG Scheme through Volunteer Scotland.
What we offer:
- A 20 minute performance with associated workshop (20 minute performance, 30 minute workshop)
- A full teachers’ pack containing curriculum links and ideas for further learning
- Thematic drama and storytelling workshops based around the performance
- Drama workshops using role-play and forum theatre
- Religious Observance events using drama

S5 pupils at Hyndland Secondary School, Glasgow
“I have written to say thank you so much for your input to our Valentine’s assembly. A number of staff and pupils have said how much they enjoyed Foolproof’s mime and your short talk. They were pitch perfect, humorous and touching. The SU group were really proud of being a part of it.”
S. Headden, Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools, Edinburgh
“They are skilled at making their workshops inclusive of all young people, and openly value each of them. They treated even the most ‘challenging’ young people with respect and dignity, resulting in some great performances.”
